About Me
Hi, I'm Rachel and I'm passionate about promoting positive well-being and mental health. My husband Martin (who is an Infosec geek: Martin's Blog) and I live in Nottingham and are members of Trent Vineyard.
As well as working through my own difficulties with mental health and well-being, I have supported others and delievered training and awareness events. I started in youth work over 10 years ago, learning more about mental health and supporting young people with additional needs on a Youth and Community Work degree.
I have completed an MSc in Psychological Well-being and Mental Health and trained as a Mental Health First Aider. I hope that I will be able to carry on learning and put this into training, support sessions and guidance for groups and individuals.
When I am not studying or working, Martin and I like to get out for brunch, walks and the occasional pub quiz. I particularly enjoy a spot of baking and reading, although I would always like to do more if I can.
I believe that we should all feel able to talk about how we are doing honestly and get the right support we need. I hope that this blog will inspire and encourage you to learn more about your mental health and what makes you feel happy, healthy and comfortable in your skin.
